CHILDREN OF THE CHILDREN

Yara is a multifaceted artist, singer, pianist, composer, and choral conductor. With a musical career spanning over 20 years, she began her career dubbing and singing for Disney films and commercials for Valentim de Carvalho. She earned a master's degree in music from the University of Kansas, USA, and has performed in groups such as her piano and vocal duo "Gutkin & Queener," Júlio Pereira's band, and performed alongside renowned artists such as Mayra Andrade, Rui Veloso, António Zambujo, and João Afonso.

Awarded for professional merit for her excellent artistic value and remarkable work and for her dedication to the Santo Amaro de Oeiras Children's Choir, she won 1st prize in the Global Youth Music Contest, promoted by the UN at Rio 20 in 2012, with the song “Meu Planeta Azul”, which represented Portugal worldwide among 138 countries.

In 2019, she released her lullaby album, "MAMA," in honor of mothers and their rights. In March 2024, she will release her second album, "Forever Blue."
