Discantus/Musaicus brings together a group of musicians from different musical backgrounds who share and dialogue with the public about their sounds and experiences, resulting in a peculiar construction, which summons influences from Jazz/Blues through Tango and Latin sounds, and, inevitably, the roots of traditional Portuguese music - in its diverse geographies.

In concert, Discantus offers audiences a unique journey, evocative of places, sounds, and stories, through original songs sung in English, French, or Portuguese, as well as some revisited standards. Improvisation also emerges—a creative and inevitable exercise in this construction.
